Sometimes, when you need a new perspective, getting out with "nature" and breathing in the "fresh air" can be just the ticket! (It doesn't hurt when getting back to nature comes "self-contained".) This past weekend, the girls and I headed out in my parents' retirement home RV to get a bit of fresh air...away from the "heavy air".
We went for walks, built a fire, made "pudgie pie pizzas" and s'mores, and even managed to fit in a wagon ride complete with two Clydesdales named John & Cletus. Turned out to be just the ticket to restore our souls (even just a bit)!
Even though we were "communing with nature" (complete with music and DVDs), there were still "city" jobs to be tended to. Panda had to work and I had a knitting class to teach. It was SO nice to be with knitters again!!! It had been far too long. (Thanks ladies!)
Now, whether it was the fresh air or the company of knitters, it's a bit unclear but for the first time in a long time I sat down in my chair, picked up my needles, and knit. Nothing much. The start of a hat for another knitting class that I'll be teaching for beginning Fair Isle. This is my pattern test. But, it represents TWO WHOLE hours of knitting...sweet knitting!
Fresh air, my girls, and knitting...nothing better than that...comfort for a soul!
Fresh air is such good medicine, isn't it? I'm glad you were able to take a little trip!

Sounds like a great, much-needed mini break. I love Clydesdales -- they combine power, utility, and beauty in such a neat way.
