Week One: Secret Pal has begun. Since my group has several new bloggers, it seemed like a good idea to come up with a "Question of the Week" to help them with blogging topics. This week's question: "What is your favorite summertime drink?" Well, to my surprise, the other hostesses were thrilled with the prospect of a "Question of the Week".
Bloggers globally are answering the question! It thrills me to see it on blogs everwhere!!! Now each Wednesday, throughout the exchange, I'll post a new question/topic to the SP12 blog and Ravelry Group. Feel free to play along.
What is my favorite summertime drink? Sweet tea just screams summer to me. As a kid, my grandmother would brew iced tea with sugar in her blue pitcher. I"d ride my bike to her house and, upon arriving, go straight to the fridge for her iced tea! Sometimes, when riding my bike to meet friends, I'd make sure my route took me past Grandma's house, just for the tea.
Now the pitcher is mine and I know that Grandma's iced tea is what other people know as "sweet tea". The sweeter the better. And now, my bike route could go past the home of the "double arches" for a glass. But, when if it did, it'll just remind me of the blue pitcher.
Week Two: 52 Pair Plunge is right on track. Anastasia in Galaxy yarn was quick and easy and totally toe-up. Nothing better in my book. That makes two women's size 11 socks in two weeks. I couldn't be more pleased to be on track with the Plunge.
Week Three: On the heels of week two is week three! Blue ADT asked me to write up my toe-up version of Ampersand. The writing is complete and the test knitting is currently underway. With any kind of luck these will be finished early in the week. Even though the pattern was free on Kristen's blog, I'll be asking her permission before posting the toe-up version. Stay tuned.
Have a good week!!!
