A New Favorite

What do they have in common?  They are my three favorite male knitters.  Who is Emerson Cod? If you haven't heard of him yet, I think you should.

Emerson Cod is the private investigator on Pushing Daisies.  When he gets stressed, he knits. Isn't that fabulous!?!  It's not the little ol' lady knitting...it's the strong confident male.  Unfortunately, the show is one that holds my attention so tightly that I'm unable to knit while it's on.

However, during this single episode (the 2nd, titled "Dummy", you can watch it online if you missed it), Emerson has been so upset about Chuck (the revived dead girl) that he knit a ribbed vest with coordinating gun holsters (presumably is fingering weight) as well as countless socks that he hides his money in.  Not to mention the felted briefcase he has on his desk.  Whatta guy!!!

I sure hope they have knitting content each week!

I LOVED that!! Even Laura, the non-knitter, thought that it was hilarious! Although, the narrator said that he was going to finish his purl row before leaving (which we all know we have to finish the row before we do something) but he was not purling...the yarn was not in the front! But I can overlook that because I love the show and love it even more now that there is knitting involved. Best new show of the season.

I am LOVING that show. One of the most orginals things to be on TV in years. And I LOVE that he's knitting! I got several LOLs out of that one.
